Top Mental Health Resources for Teens
Top Mental Health Resources for Teens
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) WISQARS Leading Causes of Death Reports in 2017, suicide is the second leading cause of death from ages 10 – 34. That is an outrageous statistic!! After realizing this statistic, we wanted to put this blog article to include mental health resources for teens.
If you are in crisis
If you are in a crisis, thinking about self-harm or suicide, call the toll-free National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), which is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. This lifeline offers free and confidential support for anyone in distress. You can also visit their website https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/.
Teenage Impact Podcast Interviews
There have been over 60 Teenage Impact podcast interviews. These interviews ranged from being suicidal to being so anxious that they were not being able to leave their house, being sexually abused, experiencing racism, low confidence issues, raped, and the list.
One thing they all had in common was they were not afraid to open up to people eventually. We cannot get through struggles in our life alone. If you don’t reach out to help, then it can lead to you acting out in school, getting in trouble, substance abuse, and thoughts about ending your life. This is a burden you shouldn’t have to carry alone.
